A CognitiveClouds Product Manager

As a Product Manager at Cognitive you are the CEO of your product team. When someone comes to you with a question you have facts, not excuses—and if you don’t know the answer you know exactly who to go to on your team to get it. There are no blockers you can’t remove, no feedback you can’t learn from and no boundaries to your role. Your team holds each other accountable for all things and at the end of the day quality is king.

Responsibilities

  • Leader of the day-to-day product team (partner team included)
  • Own the team backlog
  • Run Standups
  • Run Show and Tells
  • Run Sprint Planners
  • Run Retrospectives
  • Send weekly Stakeholder Updates
  • Review weekly health report to Sr. Product Manager
  • Setup agenda and goal-driven meetings
  • Take notes and distribute to team after any meetings
  • Ensure team members are tracking their time daily
  • Aid in QA and UAT
  • Aid in analytics setup and testing with Strategy team
  • Identify new opportunities for the team (features, platforms, etc)
  • Gather regular feedback from team
  • Partner visit preparation
  • Help the team celebrate wins

Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years experience in cross-functional mobile product management
  • Proven delivery of software products specifically web and mobile
  • Minimum of 2 major releases
  • Ability to prioritize against User and Business needs
  • Team leadership and management experience
  • Professional interaction with partners and third party vendors
  • Understanding of agile (yes, lowercase a) software development methodology
  • Experience with user acceptance testing and general QA practices
  • Experience with backlog management software
  • Enthusiasm to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Embrace challenges on a daily basis
  • Be fun and positive to work with
  • Enjoy communicating your ideas to identify and solve problems
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
